As is common in pop culture, Cover takes a work by another artist as the starting point for its own subjective version. In this case, the sculptures by Anthony Caro and Tony Smith were the starting points for the „cover versions.“ The sculptures follow the formal structure of the originals, but differ in size and surface. Instead of being given a monochrome coat of paint, these sculptures are covered with intensely colored sports textiles. They thus establish references to painting and refer to the identity-forming function of clothing.

The starting point for Release is a number of the familiar kits to build miniature houses for model railroads. Each kit was assembled as a sculpture, using all its parts, but on the basis of sculptural principles rather than the instructions. The individual parts of the model sculpture were then enlarged to create an expansive sculpture that adhered to neither a model-like nor an architectonic scale.

Short Cuts are sculptures that have their origin in ordinary objects of the domestic environment. Pieces of furniture are dismantled, the middle parts removed and the remains of the original object reassembled, resulting in miniature sculptures that reveal their origins as well as the rather violent process of their compression.

Memorials are sculptures made from woolen blankets soaked in glue, then placed over objects found on site, which in turn are removed after hardening. The result is a shell shaped after the object formerly underneath, which no longer contains anything. The observer, however, is unable to perceive this from pure observation, so that his imagination creates a secret, non-existent object.
