The sculpture Luftslott (Castle in the Air) consists of three different kinds of houses – a wooden cottage, a modernist mansion and an elementary school building – stacked on top of each other on a pole. Everything except the windows, roofs and stairs has disappeared, the image that emerges is that of a fantasty architecture where gravity and physical laws do not seem to apply. All parts are held in their original positions by small „branches“ emanating from the central mast. Overall, the sculpture becomes a poetic image for the school’s activities and a landmark for both children and adults.
